My Europe Wardrobe!

13 Mar, 2023

If you're planning a trip to Europe, you may be wondering how to dress in a way that's both fashionable and practical. After all, you'll want to look great in all those vacation photos, but you'll also need to be comfortable as you navigate the streets and attractions. Fortunately, I am here to be your fashionista for your European escape!

First and foremost, CHECK THE WEATHER! I can’t stress this enough. It is absolutely the worst feeling packing all the cute outfit that you can’t wear because of the weather! Take it from me, it's important to think about the climate in the region you'll be visiting. Europe can be quite varied in terms of weather, so it's a good idea to check the forecast before you pack. For example, if you're headed to Provence in the summer, you'll want to bring lightweight, breathable clothing that will keep you cool in the heat. On the other hand, if you're visiting Paris in the winter, you'll need to bundle up in warm, waterproof layers just in case you get caught in the rain or snow!

Once you’ve checked the weather, it's time to start building your travel wardrobe. I am not a “night before I leave” packer. I like to start packing a couple days before, planning each day's outfits! One of the best strategies is to stick to a neutral color palette, which will allow you to mix and match pieces more easily. Think black, white, beige, and gray, with the occasional pop of color or print or even a fun accessory. Choose versatile items like jeans, leggings, and comfortable flats or sneakers that you can wear all day without getting tired. You will not see anyone walking around Europe with fun or bright heels, so leave those at home!

Another key element of a practical yet fashionable travel wardrobe is accessories. Scarves, hats, and sunglasses are all must-haves for any European vacation, as they can be used to protect you from the sun, keep you warm, and add a touch of style to your outfit. I highly suggest a crossbody bag or a small backpack, it will allow you to keep your hands free as you explore, and you don’t have to worry about losing it because it will always be on you.

Of course, no European travel outfit is complete without a great coat. Depending on the season and destination, you may want to opt for a lightweight jacket, a cozy sweater coat, or of course, the classic trench. Who doesn’t love a good trench coat! Whatever you choose, make sure it's comfortable and easy to wear, as you'll likely be wearing it a lot.

In all, don't forget to have fun with your travel wardrobe! Europe holds a place with some of the simplest yet elegant fashion. It is a great place to experiment with new styles and trends, so don't be afraid to try something new. Whether you're rocking a bold print or a daring accessory, the key is to wear it with confidence and enjoy your time abroad.

Being fashionable and practical while traveling in Europe is definitely possible with a little bit of planning and a few key pieces. Stick to neutral colors, choose versatile items, and don't forget to accessorize. And most importantly, have fun and enjoy your European adventure in style!

Enjoy beautiful Europe while also feeling beautiful!
