Packing Hacks with Meagan!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! New year, new traveling me! 2022 was a wild, fun, adventurous year and just like every year, it ended with a list of dos and don’ts for the next adventures of 2023. I like to consider myself a pro traveler. Like I’ve said before, my first time on a plane was when I was 3 years old. Then my first time flying by myself was 8 or 9. It was a wild world in the early 2000’s. But because I've been an active traveler, I have learned a lot of tips and tricks that help me make everything a lot less stressful!

First and foremost, BUY PACKING CUBES! Go to amazon right now and add it to your cart. I 1000% swear by these. They come in a set of 8 which help keep everything nice and organized. They are perfect if you need to pack something nice but don’t want it to get wrinkled. Then once you get to your resort, you can just take them out of your bag and slide them right into the dresser drawer and put that suitcase in the closet. I promise you; this is one amazon purchase that you won't return!

While we're on the topic of suitcases and packing, I highly recommend getting a digital luggage scale. Take it from me, I am known as an over packer and this thing helped me save money and my husband’s sanity! It's also nice and small to pack with you, just in case you go to a beautiful island full of beautiful souvenirs that you purchased but then your bag is overweight, and you have to shamefully open your suitcases in the middle of the airport and redistribute weight, so you don’t get charged another arm after they already took your leg. I may or may not be speaking from experience. But the point it, this handy dandy lightweight device is a must if you are a proud over packer or someone who likes to bring back gifts. It will save you time and crazy looks at the airport later!

Alright ladies, this is for you! A travel jewelry box. This is by far one of my favorite traveling items. I love jewelry and accessorizing any outfit to fit my personality, but I never liked to bring my jewelry because it always got tangled in transit or I would lose an earring. This jewelry box has slots for rings, a place to hang your necklaces that let the bottom of them hang in a pouch to prevent them from tangling and then they have a place to fasten your earrings together, then the entire box collapses and buttons shut. *chef’s kiss* Whoever came up with this idea is a genius! The best part, it isn’t big but holds a lot so you can pack those beautiful souveniers from that beautiful island!

When I travel, a lot of times I have to share a room with someone. Which is no big deal, but when there is only one bathroom, things get tight and your time in the bathroom to get ready is shortened because you don’t want to be that roommate that monopolizes the bathroom. One of my favorite purchases is a foldable travel makeup vanity mirror. This mirror is maybe half an inch thick; it has three different lightings and comes with a charger. It's perfect to set up on a table or dresser and do your makeup and hair while your roomie takes a shower or uses the bathroom. It is an item I get a lot of compliments on. I highly suggest purchasing one of these if you're rooming with someone and want or need a little more time to get ready!

These are just a couple of my favorite items that I found help keep me organized and less stressed while traveling! These are just my packing essential hacks! One day, we will talk about my flying essentials! But until then, I hope you had the best Christmas and New Year! I’m looking forward to following you on your next adventure!

Happy Travels!
