I’ve just returned from an exhilarating journey through Europe, and I’m thrilled to share my adventures with you. There's so much to tell that one blog simply won’t suffice, so buckle up for an exciting series! First stop: Spain!
Barcelona quickly claimed the top spot as my favorite destination. Each morning began with a visit to a charming local coffee shop. As a former Starbucks Barista and self-proclaimed coffee aficionado, sampling coffee in different countries was a high priority. Barcelona did not disappoint! I discovered that American coffee, often laden with sugar and cream, contrasts sharply with the European style. As an iced coffee devotee, I found it challenging to locate my preferred beverage, but this pushed me to explore various coffee preparations. Now, I proudly call myself a Coffee Connoisseur!
Spain offered an unforgettable experience. The city pulsed with life and vibrancy, presenting breathtaking views at every turn. The locals were incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting me with heartfelt "Holas" and engaging conversations.
The rich history and culture of Spain are evident in its architecture. Every building tells a story spanning centuries. History enthusiasts will find a haven here. One of my favorite days was spent wandering through the heart of the city and the Gothic Quarter, marveling at the pristine cathedrals and ancient structures. It was a humbling and awe-inspiring experience that I highly recommend.
Spain is not just about history; it’s also a paradise for food and wine lovers. Although I’ve never been a fan of red wine, Spain changed my perspective. I sampled various wines and even tried the local tradition of mixing red wine with Coke. It might sound unusual, but it was a game-changer! The combination enhanced the flavors, making me enjoy an entire bottle by myself. If you take away one tip from this blog, let it be this: try red wine with Coke!
My adventure in Spain left me yearning for more. It’s a remarkable country deserving of a dedicated visit. I arrived with no expectations, yet Spain surpassed them all. I fell in love with its charm, and I can’t wait to return!
